Each edition combines international and local live artists and DJs, creating a festival experience that moves through music, culture and the energy of the city.
Launched in 2018 as the unofficial Johannesburg leg of Rocking the Daisies, In The City was born from a growing demand to bring the scale, energy and international calibre of the festival experience to Johannesburg.
Since then, In The City has evolved into an event property of its own — hosting global stars across genres alongside leading South African talent and creating memorable live music experiences throughout the year.
In 2026, In The City returns to both Johannesburg and Cape Town, bringing the two cities together under one festival property.
